A few years ago, the Uniform Trust Act changed the way credit unions handle trust accounts. Now adopted by many states, the speaker will discuss its impact as well as describe best practices for handling trust accounts at your credit union. The speaker will cover everything about setting up and managing trust accounts as well giving examples of instances where things went wrong and how to avoid them. Learn about how to lend to trusts, what tax IDs to use, and how field of membership can affect how trust accounts should be set up. Bring your trust questions and try to stump the speaker who has 20 years experience practicing law, almost as many years in the credit union movement and is nationally known on the credit union lecture circuit.
