EVENT: Direct Lending - Seven Must Have (Session Code: 604)
We have put some much emphasis on indirect lending and searching out vendor partners to help us get loans. We need to stop and do what we as credit unions do best. Lend money to our members. If you are going to be good at this and build a strong and vibrant portfolio that can grow at the pace of an indirect portfolio you are going to have to implement the 7 must have's for your direct lending volume to flourish. This session will go over detail on the 7 items and help you learn how you can implement them at your credit union.

Speaker Bio:
 Pierre Cardenas has 26 years in the financial industry at both credit unions and banks. He has held executive level positions in organizations from $140 million to over a billion in assets. Pierre started his own business “Innovators of Change” in 2008 while serving as the Senior VP of Retail at a $540 Mill CU. In 2010 Pierre joined forces with Credit Union Lending Advice (CULA) a credit union consulting organization.
