Speaker Bio:
Chris Mathiesen is a Supervisor with the McGladrey LLP Risk Advisory Services Credit Union Practice. He has nine years experience in the financial industry, focusing on Regulatory Compliance for the past six years. Prior to joining McGladrey LLP, he was a Compliance Analyst/Auditor and Technical Writer for a privately owned mortgage lender in Southern California and the Compliance Manager for a Southern California commodities brokerage firm.
Chris’ primary focus involved compliance requirements for loans sold on the Secondary Market, HMDA reporting, and any other regulatory compliance related issues that arose from internal or external investor audits. He began his career in the financial industry working for a large nationwide retail bank where his responsibilities included ensuring the safety of clients in the event of large money transactions, monitoring suspicious account activity, and working with law enforcement and branch personnel regarding security breaches.
