EVENT: IRA Advanced - Champaign Illinios (Session Code: 426)
IRA Advanced is a full-day workshop that builds on the learner’s basic IRA knowledge to help them address some of the more complex IRA issues. Learners participate in real-world credit union activities which allows them to apply their learning immediately back on the job. Participants need to bring a handheld calculator.

Topics covered are:
· IRA Contributions, including conversion contributions
· IRA Distributions, including excess, recharacterizations, and taxation
· IRA Required Minimum Distributions
· Processing an IRA Death Claim

Speaker Bio:
 Paul Kern, IRA Training Consultant, is responsible for developing and delivering IRA training programs, on a national level, to meet the needs of credit unions and leagues. Paul is the Project Manager for eLearning and IRA University; including the development, design, and implementation of both products. He also is responsible for custom in-house seminars associated with implementation projects.
