EVENT: Cell Phones: Our Future Wallets (Session Code: 485)
Keeping pace with business and technology trends is a challenge today. We will share how WOCCU is using advanced technology to “leap frog” over traditional credit union building steps in emerging countries, enabling credit unions to serve people previously unserved by financial institutions. PDAs become branch offices, POS systems turn corner shops into ATMs and software turns cell phones into cash in hand. Learn from the experiences of credit unions in Latin America and Africa how to capitalize on technology to reduce expenses and perhaps reach new markets in your state.
